Suntory has introduced Pepsi Extra. With a smaller product size, added sweetness and added caffeine, it appears to be aimed at the energy drink market.

Suntory Summer Honey Lemon‏

Suntory has added a limited Summer Honey Lemon (はちみつレモン) product to its Honey Lemon (夏のはちみつレモン) drink line. The summer version has added salt/electrolytes for help the drink serve as a hydration aide.

Coke Meiji Family Box‏

Coca Cola and Meiji are collaborating on a "Family Enjoy Box" giveaway. Winners receive a box containing limited edition glasses with Meiji Karl (or Curl) and Coca Cola Zero characters and logos printed on them, a limited edition bag and product (Meiji Karl and Coca Cola Zero). Entry is by mailing in bar codes.

Snow Brand MegMilk Infant Cheese Campaign‏

Snow Brand MegMilk is promoting its new cheeses aimed at 1-year-olds and older and 3-year-olds and older with a video camera and digital frame giveaway. These cheeses are said to provide calcium and be relatively low in salt. The text used to promote these cheeses is very similar to that used for infant formulas. For example, the 3-year-old and older cheese is described as a follow-up cheese.
