Combi Functional Foods of Japan, is heavily promoting a new probiotic, BR-108, which is not truly a probiotic because it consists of a killed Bifidobacterium longum strain. They also provide some data that shows increased Bifidobacterium and reduced Bacteroides in a clinical trial (no reference).
