Goto Islands Oktoberfest Fried Whale

Japan is allowed to conduct scientific whaling and the resulting meat is readily available. This photo is from a Facebook page which promotes the Goto Islands. It appears they serve fried whale meat as part of their Oktoberfest activities. The link is long so I will put it here.

Hakone Beer Seasonal Orange

Hakone Beer is a local craft beer producer in Odawara, Kanagawa (near Hakone). They are offering a seasonal orange flavored brew which uses locally grown Valencia oranges. No price is given, but production is limited by volume.

Kamakura Beer My Funny Valentine

Kamakura Beer, a local craft brewery, made a limited number (3,000 bottles) of a chocolate flavored Valentine's Day beer called "My Funny Valentine". I suppose this is named after the classic song of the same name (a song you either love or hate). 鎌倉ビール、マイファニーバレンタイン
